Dr. Zara Mohammad is working as a Consultant Family Physician at NWGH. She is the first family physician to join Northwest Hospital providing holistic care to all the members within a particular family unit.

Dr. Zara Mohammad has graduated from Khyber Medical College Peshawar. After graduation, she moved to the UK to train in Family Medicine / General Practice. Dr. Zara completed her training at Royal Bolton Hospital, St. Helens, Heaton Medical Center and Knowsley NHS Trust where she gained extensive clinical experience in both hospital and community-based general practice. Dr. Zara completed MRCGP from the Royal College of General Practitioners, London and went on to achieve CCT in General Practice. Thereafter, she worked as a sessional locum GP at Bolton providing community health services to a wide range of diverse populations.

Dr. Zara’s expertise includes community care for a variety of chronic diseases, women and child health, contraception and menopause care, long-term community care of palliative patients, and mental health conditions.

Dr. Zara also has a keen interest in teaching and training and is looking forward to working with Northwest School of Medicine to develop a family medicine curriculum and provide valuable hands-on training to students especially focusing on consultation and communication skills.
