Dr. Haroon Khan, Consultant Neurologist, NWGH shares that Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic neurological condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord, causing a wide range of symptoms, including issues with vision, arm or leg movement, sensation or balance. He further explains that treatments for the condition range from acute medical treatments to chronic rehabilitation including physical and occupational therapy and psychotherapy to help patients cope with MS.
