Echo Workshop Held at Northwest General Hospital & Research Center Peshawar, in Collaboration with Peshawar Institute of Cardiology as part of pre conference workshops for upcoming ECHO PAk 2026 conference to be held in PIC in October 2026.

The Department of Cardiology, Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre successfully organized a Pre-Conference Hands-On Echocardiography Workshop as part of ECHO-PAK 2026, in collaboration with Peshawar Institute of Cardiology (PIC).

The academic activity was held under the supervision of HOD Cardiology, Northwest General Hospital, Associate Professor Dr. Ahmad Fawad and HOD Cardiology, Peshawar Institute of Cardiology, Associate Professor Dr. Abid Ullah.

The workshop featured high-yield lectures and case-based scenarios covering fundamental and advanced concepts of echocardiography. This was followed by an interactive hands-on training session, where participants practiced echocardiography techniques on live models under expert supervision.

An insightful expert faculty discussion was led by Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Hafizullah, who appreciated the academic initiative and shared valuable clinical pearls in echocardiography and history of evolution cardiac imaging in Peshawar.

The event was graced by Malik Abdul Latif Awan, Chief Executive, Alliance Healthcare Private Limited, and Dr Sidra Jehangir Dean MPED, Northwest General Hospital and Research Centre, whose presence and support added distinction to the occasion.

Participants appreciated the structured teaching, practical exposure, and collaborative academic environment. The workshop served as an excellent prelude to the main ECHO-PAK 2026 conference.
