NWGH&RC Hosts Symposium on PCOS and Emerging PC lyrA Treatment

The Medical Professional Education Department (MPED) in collaboration with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre (NWGH&RC) Peshawar, held a Symposium on “PCOS & PC lyrA Treatment” on Friday, 22nd August 2025.

The event highlighted the growing burden of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), a condition affecting women worldwide with significant reproductive, metabolic, and psychological implications. A key focus of the symposium was PC lyrA treatment, an emerging therapeutic option that has been gaining attention for its potential role in improving ovulation, regulating menstrual cycles, and addressing insulin resistance in women with PCOS. Speakers explained the mechanism, clinical benefits, and patient-centered advantages of PC lyrA, presenting both research evidence and real-world case experiences. This generated an engaging dialogue among participants, who shared perspectives on integrating this treatment into clinical practice.

The interactive sessions allowed postgraduate trainees and faculty to explore both the scientific and practical aspects of PC lyrA therapy, while also reflecting on its potential to transform the standard of care in reproductive medicine.

By hosting this symposium, MPED once again reaffirmed its commitment to advancing postgraduate medical education, promoting innovative treatments, and supporting healthcare professionals in delivering evidence-based, compassionate care to women.
