Northwest School of Medicine successfully organized the 4th Northwest Multidisciplinary Annual Research Conference 2026 at its auditorium, bringing together prominent health researchers, senior consultants, and medical professionals from across Pakistan. The conference was held under the theme “Bringing Innovation to Life: Research That Matters,” highlighting the importance of impactful and evidence-based research in advancing healthcare.
Mr. Khaliq-ur-Rehman, Provincial Health Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, graced the occasion as Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the conference. In his address, he emphasized the pivotal role of research in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the healthcare system through innovation and effective public-private partnerships. He noted that collaborative efforts are essential to improving healthcare delivery and ensuring better public health services across the province.
Mr. Malik Abul Latif Awan, Chief Executive of Alliance Healthcare Private Limited (AHL), also addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of research in building an efficient, modern, and sustainable healthcare system. He appreciated the institution’s continued efforts in promoting research-oriented medical education and enhancing academic and clinical facilities.
The conference featured a series of insightful presentations by consultants and senior doctors from surgical, medical, and allied health sciences, focusing on innovative research and practical solutions to contemporary healthcare challenges.
A panel of experts led engaging discussions on emerging trends and advancements in medical research, while a poster competition provided an opportunity for young researchers to showcase their work and contribute to the scientific community.
The event concluded with the distribution of shields and prizes among faculty members, presenters, and distinguished guests of honor in recognition of their valuable contributions to the conference.
