MPED Hosts Mesothelioma Symposium 2026 at NWGH

The Medical Professional Education Deanery (MPED), Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre, successfully organized a one-day “Mesothelioma Symposium 2026” under the banner of the Pakistan Society of Thoracic Surgeons (KP Chapter) at the hospital auditorium.

The symposium brought together leading experts in the field who shared their knowledge and clinical experience on the diagnosis, management, and future directions in the treatment of mesothelioma. Distinguished speakers included Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal (Professor of Pulmonology), Dr. Muhammad Tariq (Assistant Professor of Oncology), Dr. Muhammad Atif Munawar (Consultant Radiation Oncologist), Prof. Dr. Azam Jan (Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery), Dr. Sohail Qadri (Consultant Thoracic Surgeon, UK), and Dr. Baha Ud Din Khan (Associate Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery).

The sessions were highly informative and interactive, followed by a fruitful panel discussion in which participants actively engaged with the speakers, making the symposium academically enriching and practically valuable.
