On Saturday, December 16th, 2023, the Regional Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Ms. Hela Cheikh Rouhou, conducted a visit to AHL sites in Peshawar. This visit was part of the IFC’s initiative to personally inspect all the sites across the country where the corporation has made investments, including AHL, where an investment was made last year.
The visit commenced with an arrival at Northwest General Hospital & Research Center I, followed by a comprehensive overview session. This session covered key aspects, including an insight into Alliance Healthcare and its projects, as well as an in-depth discussion on the IFC investment at AHL.
Subsequently, the delegation engaged in a facility visit at Northwest General Hospital & Research Center I, further enhancing their understanding of the AHL operations. The visit continued with an inspection of Northwest General Hospital & Research Center II/Teaching facility, concluding with the departure of the delegation.
The overview session had the presence of project and institute heads to ensure a comprehensive discussion. The members that comprised the IFC delegation included Ms. Hela Cheikh Rouhou, Regional Vice President, Mr. Khawaja Aftab Ahmed, Regional Director, Mr. Ashruf Megahed, Regional Industry Head, Mr. Zeeshan Sheikh, Country Manager Pakistan & Afghanistan, Ms. Naz Khan, Principal Country Officer, Ms. Sahar Etezaz, Operations Officer, Ms. Maryam Siyal, Security Specialist, Mr. Niels Planel, Consultant and Mr. Andrew Beath, Senior Economist.
This visit provided a valuable opportunity for the IFC delegation to gain firsthand insights into AHL’s operations and investments, fostering a deeper understanding of the corporation’s contributions to the region.
