The inaugural WFNS Global Neurosurgery Conference successfully unfolded at Serena Hotel, Peshawar, Pakistan, from February 24th to 25th, 2024. Chaired by Tariq Khan, Chairman AHL and co-chaired by Kee B. Park, the event, graced by the Honourary President, Prof. Franco Servadei, showcased discussions on diverse neurosurgical topics. Distinguished speakers, including Prof. Tariq Khan, Prof. Hamishi Shani, Prof. Gail Rosseau, and Prof. Franco Servadei, underscored the imperative of preventing neurotrauma. The event was also attended by well-renowned speakers from around the globe. The conference covered various sessions, such as Neurotrauma and Rehabilitation, Neuro-oncology, Global Neurosurgery, Vascular/Stroke, Spine, and Paediatrics. Notable topics included The CREVICE Protocol for TBI Management, Endoscopic Brain Tumour Surgery, and insights into global neurosurgery projects after the war. International experts like Florian Roser and Maximilian Mehdom addressed manuscript publication and global ethics. The event highlighted the importance of collaboration in advancing neurosurgical care.
