Dr. Niaz Ali is a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Northwest General Hospital and Research Center. Dr. Niaz Ali deals with cardiovascular patients and performs procedures such as heart surgery and revascularization. He also serves as professor of cardiac surgery at the Northwest School of Medicine. His particular interests are focused on treatment of congenital heart diseases and adult cardiac surgery.

He has previously worked at Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast in different positions before moving to Pakistan in 2005. Dr. Niaz was a Professor of Cardiac Surgery at Rehman Medical Institute in Peshawar where for more than a decade he was responsible for teaching the next generation of medical professionals, an experience that he has furthered at Northwest School of medicine. 

Niaz is a member of CTS Nef.

Dr. Niaz completed his MBBS from Khyber Medical College in 1985. Having worked in Pakistan for a while on progressive positions, Dr. Niaz went to the UK for his training and did his FRCS from Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast in 2002. He completed Sequential Probability Ratio Tests (SPRT) training in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast (UK) in ­­­­­_______.
