Dr. Bahauddin Khan, a graduate of Khyber Medical College, Peshawar, has recently joined Northwest General Hospital as a Consultant Cardiac Thoracic Surgeon.

Dr. Bahauddin completed his FCPS in Thoracic Surgery at Lady Reading Hospital in 2015, and subsequently, he refined his expertise in adult cardiac surgery at Northwest General Hospital. He holds qualifications from the European Board of Cardiothoracic Surgery, showcasing his dedication to excellence.

Specialising in surgical diseases of the chest, including esophageal, lung, and chest wall procedures, Dr. Bahauddin is known for his proficiency in minimally invasive techniques, especially video-assisted procedures. His skill set extends to adult cardiac surgeries such as CABG, MVR, AVR, with a notable focus on beating heart surgery. Moreover, he excels in vascular surgeries, encompassing trauma vascular repairs, embolectomies, and peripheral aneurysms.

Dr. Bahauddin’s commitment to advancing medical knowledge is evident through his research achievements, holding a certificate in health research and contributing significantly to impactful journals. He has presented his findings at both national and international conferences. As a dedicated educator, Dr. Bahauddin imparts his knowledge to both post and undergraduate students, holding a certificate in Medical Education. He also serves as a supervisor with the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan.
