Northwest College of Nursing ( A project of Alliance Healthcare) celebrated International Nurses Day with great enthusiasm and dedication, embracing this year’s global theme: “Caring for Nurses Strengthens Economies.” The event began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthem and an oath-taking ceremony, setting a solemn and respectful tone.
The ceremony was honored by the presence of distinguished guests, including Dr. Sardar Ali, Professor at Khyber Medical University, as the Chief Guest, and Professor Dr. Sardar Mohammad Alam, Chairman Board at Alliance Healthcare (Pvt.) Ltd., as the Guest of Honour. The event also welcomed delegates from various healthcare institutions, alongside faculty members, doctors, students, and representatives from the nursing community.
In his welcome address, Prof. Dr. Syed Yousaf Shah, Principal of Northwest College of Nursing, highlighted the critical role of nurses in the healthcare system. “International Nurses Day is an occasion to honor the legacy and vision of Florence Nightingale and to reaffirm our commitment to the noble responsibilities of the nursing profession,” he remarked.
