On October 5, 2023, Northwest General Hospital organised a breast cancer awareness session at a local hujra in Tehkal Payan, Peshawar. Dr. Tarbia Hamid, Consultant General and Breast Surgeon, and Dr. Fariha Afzal, Consultant Radiologist along with Dr. Wajeeha Rahman and Dr. Sidra Attaullah, Post Graduate Trainee, NWGH conducted an informative session for local women. They emphasised the significance of self-examination, understanding and recognising the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, and the advantages of early detection.
