Northwest School of Medicine, under the leadership of Dr. Haseeba Mukhtar and with guidance from Principal, NWSM, Dr. Noor ul Iman and CEO, NWGH, Dr. Zia Ur Rehman, organised a series of impactful activities in support of breast cancer awareness prior to the Pink Ribbon Youth Awareness Programme, 2023 on the 25th of September, 2023. These activities included a fundraising bake sale, a “Wall of Hope” display, donation collection, and student engagement through presentations and pictures.
On October 4, 2023, the Pink Ribbon Youth Awareness Programme, in collaboration with the Northwest family and the Higher Education Commission, hosted a meaningful event. The day featured medical professionals presenting enlightening cases, including Dr. Tarbiya and keynote speaker Dr. Safoora Shahid. Ms. Wafa’s touching poem, “It Could Never Be Me,” added a unique perspective.
Esteemed guests, Prof. Dr. Abid Jameel and Dr. Aakif Ullah Khan, shared their insights. The event concluded with the distribution of souvenirs and certificates of participation, with a heartfelt vote of thanks to all attendees.
