Northwest General Hospital commemorated World Population Day on the 11th of July, 2023 at the 4th-floor auditorium, NWGH. The event started off with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by a series of presentations and discussion sessions pertaining to the global population crisis and other associated issues. Prof. Dr. Obaid Ullah, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon, NWGH spoke on the matters of family planning and Islam’s take on the topic while Mr. Ijaz Muhammad Khan, Acting Chief Protection Officer, Child Welfare Commission spoke on the population-based approach towards child welfare.
