World Pharmacist Day 2026 Celebrated at Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre

Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre (NWGH & RC) celebrated World Pharmacist Day 2026 with great enthusiasm, recognizing the vital contributions of pharmacists to healthcare, patient safety, and well-being.

The Pharmacy Department, NWGH & RC organized a special session to honor pharmacists and highlight their essential role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines, supporting patients, and contributing to the delivery of quality healthcare services.

The event was graced by Malik Abdul Latif Awan, Chief Executive, Alliance Healthcare Private Limited (AHL) as Chief Guest and attended by members of Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committee (PNTC), pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.

Addressing the gathering, Malik Abdul Latif Awan emphasized the important role of pharmacists as an integral part of the healthcare team, highlighting their contribution to medication safety, rational use of medicines, patient care, and improving overall healthcare outcomes. He also acknowledged the dedication and professionalism of pharmacists in supporting healthcare providers and ensuring quality pharmaceutical services.

Mr. Faisal Khan, Chief Pharmacist, AHL, shared his remarks and paid tribute to the dedication and valuable contributions of pharmacists to healthcare.

Speakers highlighted the tireless efforts of pharmacists in safe medication practices, effective medicine management, patient care, and building a healthier society. The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and group photograph.
