Workshop on Medical Response During Nuclear or Radiological Emergencies

The National Institute of Safety and Security (NISAS), Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA), organized a three-day workshop on “Medical Response During a Nuclear or Radiological Emergency” from September 1–3, 2026, at Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre, Peshawar.

The workshop focused on strengthening the knowledge and preparedness of medical doctors and paramedical staff in responding effectively to nuclear and radiological emergencies through expert lectures and practical demonstrations.

The sessions were delivered by Dr. Kalil Ur Rehman, Dr. Owais Salam, and Dr. M. Toqeer Alam, while Mr. Malik Abdul Latif Awan, Chief Executive, Alliance Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., graced the workshop as Chief Guest.
