Thyroid Awareness Symposium at NWGH Highlights Multidisciplinary Approach to Thyroid Disorders

A Thyroid Awareness Symposium was conducted at Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre on 20th May 2026 under the umbrella of the Pakistan Endocrine Society. The symposium brought together specialists from the departments of Endocrinology, Ophthalmology, and Head & Neck Surgery to discuss a multidisciplinary approach to thyroid disorders, including hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, and Graves’ eye disease. The event aimed to enhance awareness, promote early diagnosis, and improve collaborative management of thyroid-related conditions.

Esteemed speakers included Professor Dr. Arshad Hussain, Consultant Endocrinologist; Professor Dr. Tajamul, Consultant Ophthalmologist; Assistant Professor and Consultant Head & Neck Surgeon Dr. Imran Mohib; and Dr. Aqil Noor, Assistant Professor Endocrinology. The speakers discussed various thyroid disorders and the latest management guidelines.
