Dr. Aafaq Ahmad is a highly accomplished Consultant Gastroenterologist at Northwest General Hospital and Research Centre and a dedicated faculty member at Northwest School of Medicine. With a robust clinical foundation built through the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP), Dr. Aafaq brings a unique perspective to modern medicine, shaped by extensive training in both high-volume public sector hospitals and specialized private healthcare environments.

Dr. Ahmad’s practice is defined by an individualized approach to patient care. Having managed complex emergencies in resource-constrained settings as well as multidisciplinary cases in technologically advanced facilities, he is committed to a “best-standard” model of care. His primary goal is to ensure that patients receive elite, evidence-based treatment for gastrointestinal and hepatological diseases without unnecessary financial exhaustion, bridging the gap between affordability and medical excellence.

Advanced Endoscopy: Diagnostic and interventional OGD and Colonoscopy, including variceal banding, sclerotherapy, glue injections, and luminal stenting.
Hepatobiliary Interventions: Expert management of obstructive jaundice and CBD stones through ERCP and stenting.
Chronic Disease Management: Specialized care for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD/Ulcerative Colitis), Celiac Disease, Fatty Liver, and Acute/Chronic Pancreatitis.
Functional Disorders: Advanced diagnostics for Functional Dyspepsia, IBS, and Motility Disorders.
