Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani Inaugurated the digital platform for medical students and faculty “UpToDate” that will support and lead them in research and practice in medical profession. A large number of students and faculty members attended the ceremony.

Prof. Dr. Laal Ahmad, Pro VC Khyber Medical University appreciated the Principal, Faculty and board of Governance of Northwest School of Medicine. He congratulate NWSM for being in the toppers of KMU. He further said that for “UpToDate” system all the medical colleges were contacted but this credit goes to NWSM who leaded to bring this system here at Peshawar.

Principal Northwest School of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Noor Ul Iman briefed the guests about the infrastructure of NWSM. He said that this is the only institute which provides thirty four disciplines with complete facilities of theory and practice. He further explained that our library has a connection with HEC E-Library and now “UpToDate” is also available in our library for students and faculty members. He put forward the requirements that NWSM fulfill to be a University of health sciences. He further said that there is no barrier to getting the charter of Northwest University of Health Sciences and hoped from the government of Kp that always emphasizes on health and education.

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani congratulates NWSM to initiate the digital and modern platform for medical students and professionals “UpToDate” in Peshawar. Mr. Ghani expressed that, I am glad and honored to be here on such an important occasion of inaugurating , UpToDate , world’s top medical knowledge providers and provides latest evidence based medical knowledge & content to the Doctors, Fellow Residents and Medical Students. He indicates Information technology and said that it is poised to bring about a significant transformation in the nation’s health system, with the Internet serving as a major agent of change. Information technology infrastructure could contribute greatly to enhancing the health care system. He went on said that, Healthcare professionals around the world turn to UpToDate as the one trusted reference for answers even when the evidence is not clear. All health care professionals can benefit whenever they face a challenging clinical question or need to confirm their approach, they can turn to UpToDate for trusted answers based on the latest evidence and best practice. He congratulated NWSM to be the first private medical college to my knowledge, which has always proved to be the dedicated, and committed medical school in terms of providing a conducive culture open to innovations and reforms in medical education. He further said that our government is working on Health and Education from day one and always supported private institutes to work on health sciences. Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani assured his support with NWSM to get a charter of Northwest University of Health Sciences as soon as possible.
