Prof. Dr. Raja Irfan Qadir is Consultant Orthopedic and Spine Surgeon, and Head of the Department of Orthopedics at Northwest General Hospital and Research Center, Peshawar. Dr. Irfan Qadir’s expertise is in treating musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, and sports injuries, degenerative diseases including hip and knee joint replacement infections, tumors, and birth defect, using both surgical and non-surgical means. His particular interest lies in complex orthopedic trauma and fractures.

Raja Irfan Qadir is a highly qualified senior orthopedic surgeon, and is regarded as one of the best in his field in Pakistan. Dr. Irfan Qadir gained extensive experience in trauma & orthopedics while working in England, Germany and Hong Kong and then serving at Hayatabad Medical Complex and Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar. He is presently practicing at Northwest General Hospital and Research Center since 2008, and is also Professor of Orthopedics at North West school of medicine. Additionally, Dr. Irfan Qadir is supervisor of Postgraduate Training at NWGH and examiner in Orthopedic Surgery for College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP). Dr. Irfan Qadir is qualified in Advanced Trauma Life Support conducted by American College of Surgeons.

In addition to his interest and expertise in complex orthopedic injuries, Prof. Dr. Raja Irfan Qadir is also proficient in Reconstruction, Arthroplasty, Arthroscopy, Soft Tissue Disorders, and Spine and Paediatric Orthopaedics.

Dr. Irfan Qadir graduated from Khyber Medical College in 1983. After his graduation, Dr. Irfan Qadir underwent Post Graduate training at LRH Peshawar and cleared his FCPS in Orthopaedics, in 1993. Dr. Irfan Qadir went to UK for higher training in Orthopaedics and obtained ODTSC of Royal College of Surgeons, England. Dr. Irfan Qadir also obtained AO fellowship in Trauma & Reconstructive Surgery from Eppendorf University in Hamburg Germany in 1993, and Fellowship in Spinal Surgery from University of Hong Kong in 1996.
