Dr. Zia ur Rehman has been working as Consultant Anaesthetist at Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre since 2016. In this role, Dr. Zia ur Rehman is directly involved in safe surgeries of patients under his observation, ensuring they are given the right amount of anaesthesia without compromising a patient’s health keeping in view their comorbidities.

Dr. Zia ur Rehman has considerable experience and exposure, working in the United Kingdom, Middle East and Australia. Prior to joining Northwest General Hospital & Research Centre, Dr. Zia ur Rehman was Consultant Anaesthetist at Port Augusta Hospital, Australia and a Faculty Member at University of Adelaide. Dr. Zia ur Rehman was also Project Director of Perioperative Patient Care & Safety at Port Augusta Hospital. Prior to his experience in Australia, Dr. Zia had worked at King Fahad Hospital in Saudi Arabia, which was one of the very few JCI accredited hospitals outside of the USA at that time. Dr. Zia worked in the United Kingdom and Ireland in the years preceding his experience in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Zia ur Rehman completed his MBBS from Khyber Medical College in 1984. He went to the United Kingdom and trained in Epidural, Regional Blockage in Labour and Anaesthetic services to people with special needs, besides Intensive Care and regular Anaesthesia procedures during various surgeries. Dr. Zia ur Rehman also trained in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, while working at University College Hospital, Eire.
